Read this before you share

Share links are read-only, but they are not private once sent.

Warning: real secrets inside

  • Whoever opens this link sees the full values in plain text: passwords, API keys, connection strings, tokens.
  • Anyone with the link can open it, including whoever it gets forwarded to or pasted near. There is no login.
  • It can't be revoked early. It works until it expires.
  • Send it by direct message to one person. Don't post it in a channel, ticket or doc.

How it's protected

  • Encrypted in your browser with AES-128 before anything is uploaded.
  • The decryption key lives only in the link, after the #. Browsers never send that part to our server.
  • The database holds only scrambled ciphertext. We can't read it, and neither could anyone who broke in.
  • It's deleted from the database automatically when it expires.
  • Only the result is shared, never your pasted input, and the recipient can't edit it.

Output of kubectl get cm/secret -o yaml. Several objects separated by --- also work.

Paste a manifest and press Extract env.
Annotations, labels, managedFields and the
last-applied-configuration blob are all dropped.

Paste a second manifest (say, the Secret next to its ConfigMap) and get both combined.
